2 sundays ago, I had a fire started by an electrical fault raze my sitting room. But for the grace of God and the timely and brave action of one of my neighbours and the concerted efforts of those living aroun, the entire building would have been burnt down.
As it is, I lost juts the electronics sets (TV, DVD player, VDC Player, CD's DVD's Cassette audio tapes, 5 Loader Sound System and Speakers) and cabinet on which they stand in the sitting room, a 15" monitor, curtains, some damage to the walls (plaster peeled from the heat), curtains, parts of the rug, three ceiling fans, books and pictures in albums). Considering what could have happened, my family got off blessed.

What is very inspiring is the way memebrs of the church and neighbours rose to the occassion to help fight the fire, clean up and offer sympathy.
It is good to be nice and a good neighbour so that at times of adversity like this, they would all willingly rise to the ocassion. I got calls from 3 people in the street on my cell phones that I never knew had my number. They were calling to inform me (my family and I were not at home but at church for a women's meeting and a church seminar afterwards) and also assure me that neighbours have risen to the occasion and are trying to find a way in to help put out the fire.
My family and I are deeply appreciative of the help, concern and prayers of friends and all during this crisis.
We love you all.
